Pounds & Inches: A New Approach To Obesity

By: A.T.W. Simeons, M.D.

Summary:

Effects of human chorionic gonadotrophin on weight loss, hunger, and feeling of well being. Twenty female patients on 500- to 550- cal diets receiving daily injections of 125 IV of human chorionic gonadotrophin (RCG) were compared with 20 female patients on 500 to 550 cal diets receiving placebo injections. Patients in both groups were instructed to return for daily injections 6 days each week for a total of 36 injections (unless desired weight was achieved prior to this).

The RCG group lost significantly more mean weight, had a significantly greater mean weight loss per injection, and lost a significantly greater mean percentage of their starting weight. The percentage of affirmative daily patient response indicating “little or no hunger” and “feeling good to excellent” was significantly greater in the RCG group than in the placebo group. Additional investigation of the influence of RCG on weight loss, hunger, and well-being seems indicated.

Effect of HCG On Weight Loss, Hunger, and Feeling of Well-Being

By: W.L. Asher, M.D. and Harold W. Harper, M.D.

Summary:

The original manuscript, Pounds and Inches written by A.T.W. Simeons, M.D. discusses a new interpretation of the nature of obesity, and while it does not advocate yet another fancy slimming diet it does describe a method of weight loss treatment based on clinical observation.

Forty years of grappling with the fundamental problems of obesity, its causes, its symptoms, and its very nature, Dr. Simeons perfected a safe and effective weight loss protocol called The RCGDiet.
